About PC RAM
What is PC RAM?
RAM stands for Random Access Memory, a type of computer data storage that remembers the data you are currently using. PC RAM allows your computer to switch being operating programs as required and lets you open and flick between numerous internet browser tabs and programs, such as word processors.
Will by PC work without RAM?
For your PC to boot properly, it must have RAM. RAM allows software to run and operate; without it, your computer would not be able to run any applications, including its fundamental operating system. All motherboards come complete with slots for memory to be plugged into.
What will RAM do for my PC?
As well as storing key information about your current usage, RAM can also improve your computer's overall performance. The more RAM you have in your PC, the more information your PC will be able to store and the more efficiently it will be able to run. For a performance intensive activity application to run properly, a minimum of 4-8GBs of DDR3 is RAM is required to support the application’s demands. Modern-day games put a significant amount of pressure on computer memory systems and increase the amount of RAM a PC requires in order to operate properly.
What is DDR RAM?
DDR RAM (Double Data Rate RAM) is an improved version of standard SDR RAM. DDR3 is the current standard for computer memory, replacing the previously used DDR and DDR2 types of memory. It is the fastest type of RAM available and the most widely distributed on the market, but it isn't compatible with all computers. The type of memory a computer needs is specified by its motherboard and some motherboards still require DDR2 memory.
